We will miss you FROSTY

Well, we bought two kittens just after we moved into our house. They have been so fun and playful. Trev and I are allergic so we don't have them indoors but they have a nice area in the garage and it's probably more fun in there for them. They are hunters! Frosty, the more adventurous one, loved to run across the busy street and spend nights in the field. Often when we would call for him and he wouldn't come in. We would go out looking for him and find him in that crazy field. He loved it over there. We knew that it could happen, we just hoped it wouldn't be so soon- "Snowball" his twin, will be more lonely, but yes, he was hit by a car crossing that busy street on his way home. He had a traumatic expereicne with a dog before he was even weaned from his mother and has always had a difficult time trusting anything, so he needed extra love and attention and we gave it to him. We had a chinese dinner in his honor and the fortune cookie said, "The Night Life's For You" and that describes Frosty to the T! Sometimes we called him "Dusty" or because he was so serious we called him "the Tiger"
This one's for you Frosty! We will miss you!

Mother's Day Card

So, I was cleaning out a closet that had lots of boxes from when we first moved in. Yes, it's time to get it organized!! I found the sweetest card from Trevor. It was on a mother's day- but there was no date, but this is what it said:
Reasons why my sweet Sharon's a mother....
1. She owns a house
2. She cares for others
3. She does a dem fine job at the laundry (back then we were reading the narnia books and they use the word "dem" all the time- and I used to do the laundry at the laundry mat before we got a washer and dryer. Good time:)
4. She'll stay up all night to clean house
5. She carefully plans a healthy meal
6. She carefully cooks a delicious meal
7. She's wicked good with a budget!
8. "Jesus" (you have to say it like the primary children say it- that is the answer to any question. It's so cute!)
9. Her beautiful voice will sing kids to sleep
10. She kneels each night in prayer
11. She's a woman and therefore qualifies
12. She loves the smell of flowers
13. She grabs everyone's gaze because of her beauty
14. She teaches correct principles
15. She's patient!!!
16. She has a beautiful smile
17. She's athletic, which is important when raising kids
18. She has a husband who loves her! (That is my favorite one:)

Then he said, "These are just 18 of the hundreds of reasons you deserve this card and to be honored today! I am a very lucky boy to have you. I love you! TREV

Aren't I a lucky girl!! I know:) We are going to the temple tonight and Trev is getting ready. Right now he is in the shower and he is singing in a country accent some wester song at the top of his lungs!!! LOL! It's hilarious!

Sharon's Junior High Choir Performance

Sharon had her women's chorus and men's chorus perform last night. It was great! The place was packed with excited parents, friends, and fans of Sharon's talent. The first song was all about football. HILARIOUS! What a way to begin a choir concert. Both students and audience were into her concert from the beginning! Each choir had a couple upbeat, fun songs and softer meaningful songs. It was quite a showcase of talent, directed by our own.... Sharon!!

Boise State wins the Fiesta Bowl!!

We had an exciting football bowl game party on Monday. Good food and great company always make a game even better. It is fun to see Sharon get just as involved and excited about the game as me. She's the funnest wife ever! Go BOISE!
